Employees in this classification must be capable of performing a variety of assembly duties in an efficient manner and within prescribed standards. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. The Assembler, working from a build schedule, fits and assembles metal fab, machined, rotomolded, injection molded, and cast parts to build various floor machine products according to specifications, using a variety of hand & power tools. 2. Will be involved with electrical assembly. Checks continuity makes sure unit is grounded, makes sure switches are working properly. 3. Responsible for stocking and setting up the line, assembly of the units, quality of workmanship, function and cosmetic appearance of the product, and tool upkeep. 4. Responsible for continually identifying and implementing efficiency improvements. 5. Assembler monitors inventory levels and advises supervisor of potential part shortages. 6. May operate lift truck or other material movement equipment to move parts or product to or from designated work area. 7. Responsible for visually inspecting items. 8. May be required to pack items for shipment, ensuring that proper labeling is affixed to container. 9. Immediately notifies supervisor when problems arise. 10. Makes optimum use of time and keeps work area clean and neat. 11. Abides by all the policies, procedures, guidelines of the Company, including conformance to good common sense safety practices and regulations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
