Technical Skills and Job Specific Tasks
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches specifications and other documents detailing requirements used to perform inspection and verify conformance.
Ability to determine and use the correct type of measuring equipment used to inspect parts and material.
Suggest new measuring devices or improved processes for product inspection.
Effectively trains other personnel on use of measuring equipment or applicable tools to ensure correct usage and proper handling of precision instruments.
Compile inspection data in an orderly manner to facilitate analysis. (Manual & Software).
Write instructions for the Quality Assurance Dept.
Completes task and/or project assigned within specified time frame.
Recognizes areas / opportunities for continuous improvement and communicates to supervisor
Communicate results, issues, problems and pertinent information to the other departments or shifts.
Able to effectively initiate communication concerning projects / task status.
Effective use of time management skills to ensure daily task are completed.
High School diploma or equivalent
Highly self-motivated and able to multi-task
Experienced with the use of micrometers, calipers, linear gauge, dial indicator
Demonstrates willingness to accept changes beneficial to the department / Company
The candidate in the role of Payroll/HR Administrator will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
Qualifications or Skill Required:
Associate Degree in Accounting or Business, or CPP designation
Prior payroll experience a must
Knowledge of ERP systems, Payroll processing systems (Dominion, ECI, Paychex, etc.)
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
Ability to identify and correct errors in a variety of mathematical calculations
Excellent communication skills –written and verbal
Attention to detail and accuracy
Planning, organizing, prioritizing
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide back up for Payroll Administrator – Union Shop
Process the weekly payroll using the current Payroll system, Navision including distributing paychecks, process FOC /Garnishments
Working knowledge of 940, 941, W-2’s, and other payroll taxes
Working knowledge of FLSA and DOL
Employee status, overtime and other employer requirements
Tracking of time recording
Applying current Travel policy
Complete and process payroll change notices for increases, change of department, for all non-union employees
Maintain and update employee payroll data in Navision
Provide proper paperwork for Office new hires and other payroll forms for current employees
Run daily and weekly reports for payroll and human resources as needed
Maintain and audit PTO accruals
Maintain confidential Office employees’ payroll files and records
Prepare all payroll related wage reports for non-union payroll
Run and update Performance Review information/reports
Maintain the Employee Anniversary, Fitness Reimbursement, Safety Equipment and Educational Reimbursement programs
Assist in the planning, coordination and completion of company activities or special events
Set up and manage Office employee safety training on OTIS system
