Morrison Industrial Equipment Forklift Technician Job Description
Technicians are responsible for diagnosis and repair of material handling equipment in our branch shop and at customer locations. Technicians need the ability to troubleshoot, identify parts needed for repair, and complete the repair process.
Must be able to balance service calls, scheduled repairs, and follow up service needs.
Good customer service skills, a clean driving record, and a set of tools will help make your career more successful.
Repairs can require heavy lifting and physical flexibility. An adequate level of stamina and physical fitness throughout an 8-hour workday is expected to meet the productivity and efficiency demands of our customers.
Essential Duties for road service technician:
Salary: $16.14 - $20.44/hr. (2016 Wage Scale)
Under direct supervision, provides semiskilled labor required for the preventive maintenance and repair of building features, fixtures, furnishings and HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and electronic systems and components thereof. Performs general maintenance and repairs required to maintain building operations and the safety and accessibility of exterior walkways and other paved areas.
This is a full-time, 2nd shift position (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) based in the Ottawa County Jail at the Fillmore Complex in West Olive, MI. Possible travel to other County locations, as needed.
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:
High School Diploma or GED combined with three (3) years experience in maintenance and repair of building operating systems and building and grounds maintenance.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Michigan driver's license.
