The Jr. Paint Process Technician is responsible for verifying that all Paint work cells are set-up, processes are running correctly, and takes corrective action when needed. Assist in the training of other Jr. Paint Process Technicians. Additional responsibilities include the mixing and maintenance of paint and solvent supplies, obtaining or creating set up sheets or new colors of paints and monitoring of daily production in order to produce quality parts. Responsibilities: 1. Record start and stop of jobs in Tracy Clock. 2. Stretch per guidelines prior to start up. 3. Verify production processes and equipment set ups. a. Verify that set-up parameters are set correctly. 4. Assist in taking inventory and in inventory controls as needed. 5. Train new Paint Set-Up personnel. 6. Mix and maintain paint and solvent supply. a. Mix paints according to process standards. b. Fill paint containers as needed (prior to running out). c. Assist in receiving and shipping of paints and solvents. i. Report low inventories of paint and solvent to Paint Process Engineer. ii. Rotate paint and thinner inventories with the receipt of each new shipment. iii. Label all dirty solvent per OSHA standards and ensure that no dirty solvent is kept in inventory is older than 90 days. Dispose of dirty solvent prior to 90th day using established procedure. 7. Obtain or create set up sheets for new colors or paint along with proper pump assignments (with backups) and notify Paint Process Engineer of any process changes or revisions which may be necessary. 8. Assist in production as needed. 9. Conduct daily paint usage inventory. 10. Label all paint and solvent containers with secondary container tags. 11. Perform other tasks as requested by Paint Process Engineer or other ADAC Management personnel. Basic Education, Skills, or Experience: 1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. 2. Prior experience or training with paint processing, paints and solvents, painting equipment or machinery, and maintenance of machinery is preferred. Personal Protection Equipment: 1. Safety Glasses with side shields. 2. Cotton/fabric or solvent gloves for specific jobs. 3. Covered shoes 4. Paint suit or apron 5. Respirator or dust mask. Minimum Physical Requirements: 1. Additional responsibilities include the mixing and maintenance of paint and solvent supplies, obtaining or creating set up sheets or new colors of paints along with proper pump assignments as well as monitoring of daily production in order to produce quality parts in the Paint Department. Perform corrective action by using Sample Board, production data, process information sheets and working with Cell Leader and Quality Auditor. 5. Perform Design of Experiments (D.O.E) per established procedures. 6. Make sure all drops/parts that come loose or fall off the paint racks are scrapped. 7. Order supplies, including paint and solvents as needed. a. Verify inventory of supplies and determine when supplies need to be ordered. b. Work with suppliers to improve processes and incorporate new technologies. c. Monitor use of paint maintenance items and total maintenance system schedule and make any changes as needed. 8. Assist in taking inventory and in inventory controls as needed. 9. Train new Paint Set-Up personnel. 10. Mix and maintain paint and solvent supply. a. Mix paints according to process standards. b.
